Polymem Dressing

Polymem is a unique multifunctional dressing specifically designed to facilitate healing, relieve pain, and reduce inflammation in a unique way.

Unlike foam dressings, whose primary purpose is to absorb, εach PolyMem dressing includes a hydrophilic polyurethane matrix with a mild, tissue-friendly wound cleanser, soothing and moisturizer agents, a superabsorbent, and a semi-permeable film backing.

This patented formulation of ingredients works synergistically to provide unique benefits for clinicians and patients.

All Polymem dressings effectively cleanse, fill, absorb and moisten wounds throughout the healing continuum

Cleanse of the wound:

The mild, non-ionic, non-toxic tissue friendly wound cleanser/surfactant is activated by moisture

Wound is continuously cleansed which minimizes the need for additional cleansing during dressing changes

Moistens:

The built-in moisturizer (glycerin) helps establish and maintain a moist healing environment, ensures the dressing does not adhere to the wound and helps reduce odor and hypergranulation

Fills:

Polymem dressings are designed to be very comfortable, and they are available in various sizes

Polymem dressings help ensure that both full -and partial- thickness wounds can be properly addressed

Absorbs:

Powerful absorbing agents, help to draw the non-viable tissue from the wound into the dressing

These four wound healing factors make the dressing adaptable to the changing needs of the wound as well as the wound type.
